This is a summer day to celebrate a favorite orange and vanilla treat.

First concocted in 1905 by an 11-year-old experimenting with wrapping vanilla ice cream in frozen fruit juice and called the “epsicle,” the frozen confection later became known as a popsicle, dreamsicle, and creamsicle.
